I needed to remove the panel again and of course another mounting bracket came loose!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/kgworks.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/IMG_1076.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" src=\"https:\/\/kgworks.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/IMG_1076.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2899\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kgworks.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/IMG_1076.jpg 640w, https:\/\/kgworks.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/IMG_1076-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>I cleaned out the pin mounting hole and shaved a bit of the nylon locating sleeve behind the pin until the rod slipped easily in the hole.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/kgworks.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/IMG_1078.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" src=\"https:\/\/kgworks.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/IMG_1078.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2901\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kgworks.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/IMG_1078.jpg 640w, https:\/\/kgworks.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/IMG_1078-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Whatever was holding the rear locating pin arm to the top latch was long gone.  I decided to drill the rod end and use a washer and cotter pin to keep it all in place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/kgworks.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/IMG_1079.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" src=\"https:\/\/kgworks.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/IMG_1079.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2902\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kgworks.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/IMG_1079.jpg 640w, https:\/\/kgworks.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/IMG_1079-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>with the latch mechanism lubed with white grease and working fine I reinstalled the cover with an extra upholstery screw where the mounting bracket had broken loose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Next I&#8217;ll be getting the seal in place.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I had to grind off the mounting stud I then did the same with the underside and was just able to slip out the old square nut after bending the tab&#8217;s side lip.
