The C clip comes off the pin groove very easily and is a problem to put back on  &#8211; that is if you can find it!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/kgworks.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/IMG_1652.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" src=\"https:\/\/kgworks.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/IMG_1652.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3375\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kgworks.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/IMG_1652.jpg 640w, https:\/\/kgworks.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/IMG_1652-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>My answer is to drill the pin for a small cotter pin and replace the washer with a thinner unit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/kgworks.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/IMG_1653.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" src=\"https:\/\/kgworks.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/IMG_1653.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3376\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kgworks.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/IMG_1653.jpg 640w, https:\/\/kgworks.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/IMG_1653-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>I also had to reverse the pin to move the cotter pin to the outside so it wouldn&#8217;t  stick in the upholstery and being hidden by the hinge bracket, is a neater look.
