Every amateur builder needs a complete set of taps and dies for the common fittings.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/kgworks.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/IMG_1661.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"366\" height=\"238\" src=\"https:\/\/kgworks.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/IMG_1661.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3389\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kgworks.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/IMG_1661.jpg 366w, https:\/\/kgworks.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/IMG_1661-300x195.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 366px) 100vw, 366px\" \/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>Same chore with the male end of the control arm.  It took a bit to get the die started correctly. The threads were quite damaged and are diminished on the outer end.  Still should be OK with all the threads screwed in and a pinch bolt to hold them together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/kgworks.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/IMG_1663.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" src=\"https:\/\/kgworks.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/IMG_1663.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3391\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kgworks.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/IMG_1663.jpg 640w, https:\/\/kgworks.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/IMG_1663-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>With the control valve screwed onto the rod the original aligning marks (highlighted in silver) don&#8217;t line up. This is a far on as I can get it on by hand. The control valve is butted up against the flange on the control arm.
