This worked best.  The red wire cover is a spray can pipe it worked keeping the cutting wire off the dash on the inside. Also, it took awhile for me to get the hang of it all, but finally I used short pulls with just a little pressure on the wire. Some spots were tough where the seal was thicker especially going around the bottom corner on the left side.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/kgworks.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/IMG_1835.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" src=\"https:\/\/kgworks.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/IMG_1835.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3614\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kgworks.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/IMG_1835.jpg 640w, https:\/\/kgworks.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/IMG_1835-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>I made up wooden wedges from shingle stock and pushed them in the cut as I went around. My welding skills are not nearly good enough for even this small job. I only weld something maybe every six months.
