It was an economy rotor. The dark grey unit is the better quality unit (all CarQuest brands) They seem Identical.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/kgworks.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/IMG_2131.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" src=\"https:\/\/kgworks.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/IMG_2131.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3902\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kgworks.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/IMG_2131.jpg 640w, https:\/\/kgworks.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/IMG_2131-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>There is a difference in the colour of the contacts.  Not sure what the difference is. The contact plates seem to be bronze where the old cap had Aluminum or stainless?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/kgworks.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/IMG_2132.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" src=\"https:\/\/kgworks.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/IMG_2132.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3903\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kgworks.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/IMG_2132.jpg 640w, https:\/\/kgworks.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/IMG_2132-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The plug posts are obviously the same as the undersides.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/kgworks.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/IMG_2135.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" src=\"https:\/\/kgworks.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/IMG_2135.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3905\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kgworks.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/IMG_2135.jpg 640w, https:\/\/kgworks.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/IMG_2135-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>These are the centre contact electrodes the one on the right is the old one and it has a groove in it where the rotor contact strip was cutting its way through. Also, again brass vs aluminum or stainless.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On a good note, Carquest is refunding me for the rotor.
