The modulator is at the back of the trans on the passenger side. It&#8217;s in a tight spot  &#8211; crowded by the exhaust pipe (pink on the right side of the photo) which I&#8217;m not going to try and remove.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/kgworks.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/IMG_2277.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" src=\"https:\/\/kgworks.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/IMG_2277.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3988\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kgworks.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/IMG_2277.jpg 640w, https:\/\/kgworks.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/IMG_2277-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>This is the view of the modulator from behind the rear cross member. Trans oil dripped out of the opening after I removed the modulator. It lost about a 1\/2 cup of oil at most.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/kgworks.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/IMG_2281.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" src=\"https:\/\/kgworks.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/IMG_2281.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3991\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kgworks.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/IMG_2281.jpg 640w, https:\/\/kgworks.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/IMG_2281-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>New vacuum modulator from Rock Auto. Much smaller than the original. I&#8217;ve primed and painted the modulator bracket and screw.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/kgworks.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/IMG_2288.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" src=\"https:\/\/kgworks.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/IMG_2288.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3993\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kgworks.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/IMG_2288.jpg 640w, https:\/\/kgworks.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/IMG_2288-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The new modulator being smaller allowed me to get my hand up enough to get the bracket screw started. It was then easy to tighten using my ratchet and extensions from behind the rear cross member.
