The red sealant didn&#8217;t adhere to the housing even thought I wiped it carefully with alcohol. I was OK until I torqued the bolts down after waiting 24 hours for the sealant to cure. The torque caused the gasket to split at a few bolt locations and squeeze out from under the cover. Oil must still have remained in the metal pores. I managed to keep most of the sealant and gasket bits out of the assembly. I&#8217;ll go with a dry gasket this time. If I have leakage problems I&#8217;ll replace it with a LubeLocker gasket.
